Ladylike Tweed and Stripes

K: Brandon and I headed down to the Olmos Park area of San Antonio for a bite to eat and to walk through the gorgeous streets while browsing perfectly manicured lawns and stunning homes. I had on this navy tweed coat and found that it was the perfect weight for temperatures in the fifties. Oftentimes in San Antonio, we don't need more than a light jacket. One of the many reasons I love this city...

An Engagement Fiesta

K: Living in San Antonio means that we're heavily influenced by Mexican culture. It was all too easy for my mom to host an Engagement Fiesta for my younger sister Elizabeth and her fiance Kevin, complete with mini pinatas and plenty of gorgeous floral arrangements to brighten the evening.

At-Home Movie Night

K: Every couple should know the importance of date night. It gives you a chance to connect and relax with your significant other. Brandon and I have made it our goal to present dates that you can easily recreate or alter to fit the needs of your relationship. This week, we're taking the classic movie date and sharing how you can make it feel special and significant at home on a budget.

Meet Tara

K: We are so excited to introduce you to an important member of the family! Tara is our English black lab and although she looks like a puppy, she is actually two years old. Brandon adopted Tara in Oxford, Mississippi about a year before we met. Even though I was not a part of her puppy stage, she is a huge part of our lives and I love her sweet and energetic personality. Brandon is sharing all about his little girl and what activities they enjoy!

Our Work Wear Style

K: Work wear is something that can look completely different from person to person, based on career. As a high school English teacher, I find that my outfits must both be practical and sophisticated. If I'm too dressed down, I end up looking like a high school student; however, if I'm too dressed up, I look out of place in a casual work environment. This blush on blush outfit is a nice combination that manages to be both comfortable and cute.

Our Mexico Honeymoon

Brandon and I spent our honeymoon in Mexico City and the central hills of San Miguel de Allende. Our intention was to swap the normalities of a stereotypical honeymoon for a romanticized adventure. Unique hotels, fine dining, and a heavy dose of culture was the overall goal of the trip and we returned home to San Antonio feeling accomplished.

Our Wedding Day: December 11, 2016

Brandon and I got married at Lost Mission in Spring Branch, Texas. The venue is only a few years old, although it appears to look like an antiquated San Antonio mission. The white stucco, dark wood details, and rustic elegance drew us in, giving Brandon and I the perfect place for our wedding. We actually found Lost Mission independently from one another. Right before hopping on a flight to our friend's wedding, we had the venue website pulled up, ready to show the other. When we revealed the location on our phones, we were shocked to find that we'd picked the same place. From there, it was meant to be. We booked the site and began planning.
